A German ornithologist casually discovers some old tapes on which a psychologist has recorded the mysterious doings happened into those isolated walls. So he learns about a gloomy story of incestuous loves and trivial betrayals that will lead to a bloodbath orchestrated by an unexpected crazy character.

Note : A quick upload of a lesser-known giallo here, but it's interesting, told in a flashback, story-within-a-story format. It stars Erika Blanc, sporting some ill-advised makeup that seems to have taken her last name a bit too literally, as well as Peter Lee Lawrence, Ezio Marano, Rosario Borelli, Orchidea De Santis, and Franz von Treuberg.
A professor of ornithology rents a remote villa, and while walking the grounds, comes upon a collection of old magnetic audio tapes. He cleans them up and listens to them, it turns out they contain a series of psychoanalysis sessions for a patient named Azurra, as she describes her unhealthy love-hate relationship with her brother, as well as a number of debauched sexual encounters. The tapes end before the professor can learn the truth about how the story ends, but a mysterious visitor provides a final tape that tells the tragic ending of Azurra's disturbed odyssey.
This Le Chat Qui Fume remaster is fine, but not great, color and contrast are very nice, but it doesn't retain much grain, and there's a fair bit of image instability and gate weave. Dual mono sounds fine, no extras.
